WEEKLY BULLETIN

FEBRUARY 8-12, 2010

Give praise to the Lord for his kindness, for his wonderful deeds toward people.  He has filled the hungry with good things, he has satisfied the thirsty.  Psalm 106:8-8

Dear SJE Families:

During times of change and challenge, Catholic Schools provide long term benefits to the nation’s youth; a high quality, faith based education that will continue to pay dividends for years to come.  We celebrated Catholic Schools Week two weeks ago.  Its theme, “Catholic Schools: Dividends for Life,” underscores the commitment of Catholic schools to continue that tradition.  Families and communities can count on Catholic schools to instill in students the faith, knowledge, morals and discipline that will enable them to fulfill their future roles as committed citizens, productive employees and effective leaders.

A solid education results in a strong economy. Did you know that the graduation rate for Catholic high schools in Los Angeles is 99% and 98% of our graduates go on to higher education?  This story needs to be told to the larger community as we continue to produce academically and morally educated citizens and an excellent future work force for our city and nation.

Thank you for making the decision to invest in your child’s future.

Yours in Christ,

Mrs. Barbara Danowitz
